Republican slime bag and relentless troll Vivek Ramaswamy, who also happens to be running for governor of Ohio, has become the center of unethical ad campaigns after he released an attack featuring his Democratic competitor’s estranged mother, and a random ass news site is running a Facebook ad to boost the deplorable video.

The Buckeye Bulletin, which claims to be committed to “reliable journalism” and “strong editorial standards,” seems to have materialized out of nowhere to push pro-Ramaswamy content. The website has no bylines, no staff directory, no obvious advertising or subscription model, and no disclosure of who’s funding it. But sure, let’s trust the journalism, the Los Angeles Times reports.

A review of the outlet’s Meta advertising data shows the Lincoln Media Foundation, a nonprofit affiliated with the Lincoln Club, a major conservative donor organization in California, manages its Facebook and Instagram accounts. The club and foundation share at least two key executives, according to IRS records.

Neither the Bulletin nor the foundation responded to requests for comment.

The operation appears to fit the definition of “pink-slime” journalism: partisan content dressed up as local news so unsuspecting readers might mistake political propaganda for independent reporting.

And this isn’t the first time the Lincoln Media Foundation has been linked to such sites. In 2024, researcher Max Read identified seven alleged pink-slime outlets linked to the group that targeted battleground states ahead of the presidential election. The network spent more than $63,000 on Meta advertising, generating up to 18 million impressions.
