The Knicks lost at home last Sunday night 113-112 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. They trailed by four at halftime but quickly took the lead with 10:27 to go in the third quarter and led by ten at the end of the period. Oklahoma City stormed back and when they took a 94-93 lead on a layup by Aaron Wiggins with 7:38 to go in the final period, the Knicks would not regain the lead until Jalen Brunson made a driving layup over 7’3 foot Oklahoma City big man Chet Holmgren with four seconds remaining.

OKC’s Shai Gilgeous Alexander hit a 15-foot turnaround on the baseline with 1.8 seconds remaining to put the Thunder up one. A Jalen Brunson turnaround from the corner at the buzzer was no good and the Knicks lost a tough one.

“It’s what you play for, I grew up watching guys make big shots,” Gilgeous-Alexander said after the game. “It’s fun, it was also an immediate win and that’s what you play for. It’s what you dream about when you play as a kid in your driveway.”

OKC’s Jalen Williams finished the night with a game-high 33 points, missing just four of 18 shots.
