The Indiana Pacers are moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals, winning four of the final five games of their series against the Knicks, after losing the first two games of the series. Indiana could not have played any better, literally.  Their 76% shooting from the field in the first half was the highest percentage in a playoff first half in the last 25 years. Indiana’s 67% shooting for the game was the best shooting percentage in NBA playoff history. Six Pacers scored in double figures, including all five starters, led by Tyrese Haliburton’s game-high 26 points.

Six Pacers scored in double figures and Indiana had the NBA’s highest scoring offense during the regular season. “We have a historic offense obviously but Tyrese got things rolling and everybody kind of just followed suit,” said Indiana’s longest-tenured player Myles Turner who finished with 17 points. “And to do that on the road here in the Garden in game 7 is obviously phenomenal but this is what we’ve been doing all season long and we were able to show it on the big stage.” Indiana will now play the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals that began Tuesday night at TD Bank Arena with game 2 Thursday night.
