The Knicks got their largest margin of victory on the road in 52 years on Friday with a 128-92 win over Philadelphia. The game was the first of the season between the teams and it was another chance for the Knicks to beat one of the Eastern Conference’s elite. After starting the season a combined 0-6 against Boston and Milwaukee, who have the top two records in the east, the Knicks have since beaten Milwaukee on Christmas and now Philadelphia who have the third best record in the East. Jalen Brunson’s 29 points led the Knicks in scoring against the Sixers.

After the Knicks won by 36 points in Philadelphia on Friday, their largest margin of victory on the road since 1972, they visited the Nation’s Capital on Saturday and gave the Wizards a taste. Washington put up a fight but the Knicks eventually beat them into submission. New York’s 121-105 win over Washington pushed their record to a season high six games above .500 and their four-game win streak is their longest of the season.  Julius Randle had a game high 39 points while Jalen Brunson had 33 and was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

The Giants got a satisfying win in their season finale on Sunday with a 27-10 win over Philadelphia at home. Big Blue finished their season 6-11 and miss the playoffs for the tenth time in the last 12 seasons. The loss was the fifth in the last six games for a Philadelphia team who played in last year’s Super Bowl and who started this season 10-1. The Eagles now enter the playoffs as the fifth seed in the NFC. They missed winning their division by two games and lost to both the Giants and Jets this season at the Meadowlands.
