The New York Knicks on Sunday night, proved again, that they can beat any team in the Eastern Conference and now they are the owners of the longest win streak in the NBA.  They beat the reigning Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics 131-129 in a double overtime thriller.  The win was their second over Boston in a week, their third straight against Boston overall, and the second time they’ve beaten them in Boston this season.  The Knicks even got the win this time without one of their two stars, Jalen Brunson.

Big East Invades MSG

Brunson was out due to an ankle that he sprained in the previous game.  Immanuel Quickley started in his place and dropped a career high 38 points, along with 8 rebounds, 7 assists, four steals, and two blocks. The Knicks other star Julius Randle finished with 31 points and he and Quickley made five three pointers apiece.

Jason Tatum had a game high 40 points for the Celtics while his co-star Jaylen Brown had 29 points. The Knicks are now one game behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the fourth best record in the Eastern Conference which would give them homecourt advantage in a first round playoff series.

The red hot New York Knicks hosted the Charlotte Hornets Tuesday night before going on a west coast trip as the Big East invaded MSG which began Wednesday afternoon.
