Mikal Bridges scored a team-high 30 points, including 17 in the 3rd quarter, and the Brooklyn Nets survived a ferocious rally from the Utah Jazz 111-110 last Sunday.

Utah, which trailed by as many as 23 in the final quarter, stormed back in the closing minutes but could not claim victory as Kelly Olynk’s, who grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds, attempted game-winning jumper, following two missed free throw attempts from Nets’ Seth Curry, fell short at the buzzer giving Brooklyn its third straight victory and improved their chances of getting the final guaranteed playoff spot in the Eastern Conference as the 6th seed.

Tucker, who scored a game-high 32 points, scored 15 of Utah’s final 20 points with 3:37 left to play, starting with a 3 to cut the deficit down to 10. Tucker subsequently made four 2-point baskets and four free throws throughout the Jazz’s final possessions to give the team a chance at victory as they entered the contest losing five of their last six games.

Markkeanen scored 23 points for Utah. Ochai Agbaji scored 19 points for the Jazz, including a 3 off an inbounds pass that brought Utah within a deuce with 11.1 seconds left in regulation.

Spencer Dinwiddie finished with 17 points and a game-high 14 assists for the Nets. Cameron Johnson and Nic Claxton scored 18 and 14 points, respectively, for Brooklyn.

Brooklyn had a 43-25 record when they hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves, which are also vying for playoff positioning, on Tuesday night.
