The New York Knicks have only lost one game this season to a team who had a record below .500.  On Tuesday night the Knicks got payback on them as they continue to pummel the best basketball league in the world. With three starters out the Knicks rolled over the Utah Jazz 118-103. New York played this game without forwards Julius Randle and OG Anunoby.  Randle dislocated his shoulder over the weekend against Miami and is expected to be sidelined several weeks.  Anunoby has elbow discomfort and is day to day. Even though he has missed the last two games the Knicks are 14-2 since acquiring him. His first game was January 1st and the fourteen wins are the most the Knicks have had in a month since March of 1994. A year that the Knicks made the NBA Finals. The Villanova boys in the backcourt combined for 62 points. Jalen Brunson had 29 and Donte DiVincenzo hit nine three-point shots and finished with 33 points.

After the game Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau spoke on the difference between the Knicks playing the Jazz and defeating them this time around as opposed to their first meeting last month in Utah. “Sometimes you look at where you are to, we had a very heavy road schedule early, and a lot of back to backs. So, you got to navigate through that, and we did,” he said. “Unusual, and the amount of back to backs we had early in the season, but you keep your focus on your daily improvement and don’t get sidetracked, you improve, and that’s what we’re doing we’re getting great effort from people.” The Knicks have now won eight games in a row and will take on a competitive high scoring Indiana team on Thursday night at home before hosting LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers Saturday night.
