Following a surprising 2020-2021 season, the New York Knicks not only failed to make the 2022 NBA Playoffs, they were also unlucky in the NBA Draft Lottery, landing at #11 in 2022 NBA Draft on Thursday night at Barclays Center.
Though the season was disappointing, RJ Barrett was not, as he played the best basketball of his young career in the second half of the season. Who can the Knicks land at #11 to compliment him?
Duke product AJ Griffin is a New York product who has worked out for the Knicks and could be a good fit alongside Barrett. The success of teams like the Boston Celtics with two young versatile wings like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown worked well, and the Knicks could try to duplicate that formula with Barrett and Griffin.
