The typical pomp and circumstance that went on during Wednesday’s (February 19) televised Democratic debate continues to be sensationalized.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren (pictured right) went on an all-out rampage against Mike Bloomberg (pictured left), the checkered former NYC mayor who is trying to buy his way into the U.S. presidency. The Democrats have less than a year to get their (you know what) together. But Wednesday’s debate clearly showed that at this point, they do not.
Five minutes into the theatrics, Warren went on a tirade about Bloomberg’s personal history, which concerned his questionable interactions with women.
“I’d like to talk about who we’re running against — a billionaire who calls women fat broads and horse-faced lesbians. And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Michael Bloomberg,” Warren said on MSNBC’s televised debate.

Bloomberg did not do well to help himself at all. When he was addressed about the issue of publicly disclosing his taxes, he gave far less than a favorable answer. To be fair, disclosing the personal income tax information of someone worth more than $60 billion dollars is a very labor-intensive process. It involves a tenuous degree of complexity.
However, instead of simply answering, “On the advice of my tax attorney, I invoke the Fifth on that matter,” Bloomberg goaded Warren into furthering her cheap and corrosive vilification campaign comprised merely of he said/she said. The former NYC mayor is obviously the petulant type of man who annoys you more once he finds out he is getting on your nerves.
“It just takes us a long time, unfortunately. Fortunately, I make a lot of money, and we do business all around the world, and we are preparing it. The number of pages will probably be in the thousands of pages. I can’t go to TurboTax,” bragged the 78-year-old.
Warren spoke to reporters after the debate and as expected, chirped off more to say about Bloomberg.
“I hope that Michael Bloomberg decides to live by what he says. He just wants to see the Democrats beat Donald Trump. So that’s great — Mike Bloomberg, drop out of the race, keep putting your money in to help Democrats beat Donald Trump, and just take your ego out of this,” she said.
Warren made a valid point about ego. Bloomberg’s checkered personal history obviously exposes his leadership problems and ego is definitely a catalyst for failure.
