Cam Thomas delivered for the Brooklyn Nets in their seventh game, scoring a contest-high 45 points, his fourth 30-point game this season, but it wasn’t enough as the Milwaukee Bucks squeaked out a 129-125 victory over the Nets on Monday night November 6. The Nets fall to 3-4 and 0-3 at home.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a team-high 36 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to abet the Bucks to their fourth win and first on the road. Damian Lillard scored 21 points while four Milwaukee bench players scored in double figures.

Mikal Bridges and Lionne Walker IV, who came off the bench, scored 31 and 19 points, respectively, for the Nets. Ben Simmons grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds for Brooklyn.

Milwaukee trailed by 4 at halftime, and by as many as 10 in the second half, but were able to overcome the deficit thanks to Giannis’s 19 points in the final 24 minutes. Giannis impacted the game defensively with two fourth quarter blocks, the latter occurring with 15 seconds left in regulation and the Bucks clinging to a 3-point lead.

The Nets host the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday followed by a trip to the Commonwealth to face the Boston Celtics Friday night.
