Eric Adams was serenaded by cheers — and shed a few tears — as he voted Tuesday at the end of a long and arduous Democratic primary race.

The Brooklyn borough president paid tribute to his late mother, Dorothy Mae Adams, as he cast his ballot just after dawn at Public School 81 in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

“This has been an amazing journey,“ an emotional Adams told supporters and media gathered outside the school. “This is the American dream. I am a New York story.”

Supporters chanted “Eric, Eric” and “The champ is here” after Adams emerged from the school with his son, Jordan, by his side.

Adams recalled his mom, who died in March at 83, as an inspirational figure who pushed him to overcome a learning disability, poverty and police brutality.

Win or lose, he declared victory in overcoming life’s obstacles.
