The Jets have the longest current playoff drought in American professional sports.  They have not made the playoffs since 2010 when they made the AFC Championship game for the second year in a row, only to lose and fail to make the Super Bowl, where the franchise has not been since January 1969.

That hasn’t stopped all the preseason hype that has surrounded New York City’s clear number two team, in terms of size of fan bases.  But adding Aaron Rodgers, a four-time MVP winning quarterback, at the helm this season, the Jets are expected to take over Gotham in 2023. Jets fans across the city hope Rodgers can lead them to something they have not had in 55 years.

With his great resume since entering the NFL in 2005, Rodgers has won just one Super Bowl, and that was 13 years ago.  He is entering his age 40 season and coming off a year where he had his highest interception total since his first season as a starter in 2008.  Other than Rodgers, the Jets do have one of the more talented Rosters in the NFL and look formidable on paper. Their first game is Monday night, September 11th against their division rival Buffalo Bills.
