Knicks fans showed love to their former heroes and the home team blasted the Toronto Raptors at Madison Square Garden last Saturday night to push their NBA best record since New Year Day to 9-2.

The Knicks 126-100 win was an emotional affair as former Knick first round draft picks RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley returned to face the Knicks after being traded to Canada December 30th.

Barrett and Quickley both started and came out the gates strong with seven and eight points respectively in the first quarter where they led Toronto to a 27-16 lead. The two best Knicks since Patrick Ewing however, Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle, were not going to be out done by their former mates.  Brunson finished two points shy of his second consecutive 40-point game and Julius Randle had the 14th triple double of his career to spoil the homecoming of Barrett and Quickley.

Both players were serenaded with a raucous ovation when they were announced in the visiting starting lineup and during a thank you video tribute from the Knicks organization during the first time out of the game. New Knick OG Anunoby had 14 points and seven rebounds versus his former team.

The Knicks and Nets rumble at Barclays Center tonight.
