The New York Knicks returned home from a successful west coast road trip to beat the Brooklyn Nets 105-93 last Saturday afternoon Madison Square Garden. Donte DiVincenzo led the Knicks with 31 points, Deuce McBride had 26 points and played the entire 48 minutes. Center Isiah Hartenstein added 17 points for the Knicks as well on 8-10 shooting. The strong efforts made up for the off-shooting night for Jalen Brunson who missed 17 of 24 shots.

For the Nets, swingman Cam Thomas finished with a team-high 19 points, and Mikal Bridges added 18 points. With ten games remaining for Brooklyn, they are five and a half games out of the 10th and final Play-In Game spot Brooklyn needs to qualify for the playoffs.

The Knicks are in a fierce battle for the Eastern Conference’s 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th  seeds as they enter the final three to four weeks of the season. “I think we are just locked in,” DiVincenzo said to reporters after the game. The Knicks still hope to get back their injured frontcourt of Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and OG Anunoby before the start of the playoffs.
