You would have thought with the inconsistent way Zach Wilson played Sunday, he would have a more consistent game on Thursday. He did in the wrong direction.

Wilson was replaced for thr second time in a little over a month, this time by Chris Streveler, who immediately was cheered by the crowd.

Ultimately,  Wilson was 9-18 for only 92 yards. He threw one interception and was sacked three times in the embarrassing 19-3 loss.

An early sign in the game was when Quinnen Williams forced a fumble that the Jets recovered inside the 20. Wilson and the Jets gained only three yards in three plays and were forced to kick a field goal.

Wilson was as clueless after the game as he was during it when he spoke to the media and asked about his poor performance.

“I don’t know,” he expressed. “I Just felt like I didn’t have any rhythm out there. Just trying to find some confidence out there on the field and just find something to get us going, a little spark, and I couldn’t get anything there and I had opportunities and I’ve got to be able to connect on those. We’re going to go back and watch it and I’m sure the coaches will detail it up for us, but right now the feeling is I’ve just got to put my head down and just try to get better for these guys.”

The Jets face the Seahawks in Seattle next weekend. After a promising start, it look like another season of no playoffs.
