An Iowa school district is investigating a teacher who reportedly wore blackface during a Halloween party. The incident comes at a time when the conversation surrounding the use of the blackface went a notch higher after “Today” host Megyn Kelly defended its use during Halloween celebrations.

The Davenport School District launched investigations against Megan Luloff, a teacher at Walcott Elementary & Intermediate School, who was accused of reportedly wearing blackface to a Halloween party this past Friday night.

According to a report by The Quad-City Times, Luloff, a white teacher, dressed as Lafawnduh, a renowned character in the movie “Napoleon Dynamite.” In the film, however, the role is played by Shondrella Avery, who’s black.
