Eight months after their historic summit in Singapore, US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un are meeting each other again.

This time the two are in Hanoi, Vietnam, where they are expected to build upon their previous agreement to “work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”

This is just the second time ever that a sitting US president has met with a North Korean leader. The first came in June, months after Trump and Kim traded insults and threatened each other with nuclear annihilation. Afterward, Trump said he’d developed a “special bond” with Kim and would “absolutely” invite him to the White House.

Both leaders arrived in Vietnam on Tuesday — Trump on Air Force One and Kim on a heavily armored train that traveled for two and a half days.

The summit is scheduled to last two days. On Wednesday, Trump met with his Vietnamese hosts, President Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, before a scheduled dinner with Kim. Trump and Kim will hold bilateral meetings on Thursday.
