Both New York football teams took their show on the road looking to continue their early successful season. The Giants improved their record to 6-1 when they traveled to Jacksonville Jaguars coming away with a 23-17 victory. They needed a last second defensive stop as the Jaguars quarterback dropped back to pass from the Giants 17- yard line and connected with wide receiver Christian Kirk at the 1-yard line. Kirk was immediately slammed by safeties Xavier McKinney and Julian Love preventing him from getting into the end zone. Both quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquan Barkley continued to spark the offense. Jones threw for 200 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 107 yards. Barkley did him one better running for 110 yards. You have to back to 208 the last time Big blue began the season 6-1. The Giants will be on the road once again this Sunday when they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks who cruised past the San Diego Chargers37-23.

It was a bitter sweet victory for the New Jets when they traveled to Denver to take on the 2-4 Broncos. They came away with the 16-9 win but lost to main players of the offense with season ending injuries. Rookie Running back Breece Hall, who was having a rookie of the year type year, tore his right MCL in the second quarter. Prior to the injury, Hall showed why he has been a big part of the Jets early season success as he blew past the Denver defense for a 62-yard touchdown in the first quarter. The news only got worse when offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker is done for the season as well with a torn triceps. The Jets took a 10-9 lead into the third quarter and then saw their defense shut out Denver in the second have adding 2 field goals for the final score. Quarterback Zach Wilson completed 16 of 26 for 121 yards. Gang Green looks to get there second division win Sunday when they host the New England Patriots who were routed by the Chicago Bear on their home field 33-14.
