Stephen Curry tied a game-high with 27 points, Jimmy Butler added 21 points, shooting 11-12 from the free-throw line, and the Golden State Warriors defeated the Brooklyn Nets 120-107 past Monday at Barclays Center.
With the loss in their final game of 2025, the Nets snapped their three-game winning streak, their longest of the season so far. Brooklyn sits with a 10-20 record, the worst record in the Atlantic Division and third-to-last in the Eastern Conference.
The Nets started the first half shooting 47.5% from three-point range, leading by as many as 13 and held a two point point advantage at intermission, in large part due to Michael Porter Jr.’s 17 points, going 3-6 from behind the arch; and rookie Egor Demin, who hit four threes, contributing 12 points. Porter Jr. and Demin, Brooklyn’s top two scorers, finished with 27 and 23 points, respectively. Demin broke the Nets rookie record with seven three-pointers in the contest.

Nets Head Coach Jordi Fernandez said of Demin performance , “overall, great aggressive shot. Every time he takes a shot, I think it’s going in, and that’s a great feeling.”
In the second half, the Warriors outscored the Nets 61-50, thanks to Curry’s 17 points in the frame, Butler’s reliability at the line, and the Warriors’ bench erupting for 26 points in the final two periods and 58 points for the entire game, compared to the Nets’, which scored 27. Trayce Jackson-Davis led Golden State’s bench with 11 points while Gary Payton III, De’Anthony Melton and Will Richard each scored 10 points for the Warriors.

Warriors Head Coach Steve Said he new the challenge Brooklyn would present. “Every time we’ve played them over the last couple of years, they’ve energetic, well organized, well coached. So you they came to our place last year and beat us. We came here last year and it was like 24-6 right out of the gate. We had ti fight to win at the end, so l think they’re doing a great job. Jordi is doing a great job, his staff, player development. Obviously they’re doing something right.”
Brooklyn’s Nic Claxon and Noah Clowney scored 15 and 11 points, respectively. Cam Thomas scored 13 points off the bench for the Nets.
The Nets host former player and superstar, Kevin Durant, and the Houston Rockets on New Years Day.
