Film Director Mann Robinson released ‘Georgia Peach’ starring Jasmine Burke, Cocoa Brown, Teresa Celeste and a cameo by Karyn White.
*“She’s playing me,” said Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award winning film director Mann Robinson about actress Jasmine Burke (“Saints & Sinners”) who stars in his latest film releases this weekend (February 13-15, 2026) called Georgia Peach. “Not my whole entire life…35-40%. She wanted to do levels.”
Jasmine is not only the lead actress in Georgia Peach, but she co-produced it with Mann. The story line follows a former alcoholic, their struggles and triumphs. Jasmine plays Jannie Salisbury, a nurse who has three years of being sober. Then a dream type opportunity comes that threatens to “push her off the wagon.”
“She wanted to make a film on substance abuse. I said alcohol,” Mann continued. “I wanted to make sure it was not boring. So, I made a female lead with talent.”
“Jasmine….I had seen what she has done, and she saw what I’ve done,” Robinson added when I asked why he picked to work with her.
Aside from Jasmine Burke starring in Georgia Peach, there is Cocoa Brown (BET’s “Comic View”), Teresa Celeste (Fight Night…”) and a cameo appearance by Karyn White (“Super Woman”). Robinson recently held a red-carpet film premiere in Georgia for the film and released it on Apple TV and Amazon Prime today (February 13th).
