The Knicks improved to 13-1 at home on Sunday when they beat Orlando 106-100. The Knicks avenged their only home loss of the season as the Magic had beat them at Madison Square Garden November 12th. On Sunday the Knicks got 30 points and 9 assists from Jalen Brunson, they got 21 points from OG Anunoby, 17 points from Josh Hart and 12 from Mikel Bridges. The Knicks played this game without their big man Karl Anthony Towns who was dealing with a calf injury. Mitchell Robinson started at center in place of Towns and pulled down 13 rebounds in a season high 24 minutes. Orlando’s best player Franz Wagner started the game making three of four shots for seven points, but he was injured in the first quarter going for an alley-opp and did not return.
The Knicks next play in Toronto in the quarterfinal of the NBA Cup with the chance to go on to Vegas and the semifinals if they win. “You want excitement in your life, so you try to put yourself in positions where you have pressure at times,” Knicks Head Coach Mike Brown said after the game. “And that’s something where if you’re a competitor and you want some excitement in your life then you embrace it.”
