The Knicks beat the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center Monday night 113-100. The Knicks were led in scoring by their two best players as Kart Anthony Towns finished with 37 points and 12 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson had 27 points. Former Net Mikkal Bridges had 16 points and Jordan Clarkson had 12 points off the bench. Noah Clowney made seven threes and finished with a team-high 31 points for Brooklyn. The win for the Knicks was just their second away from Madison Square this season as they have a 10-6 record. “Good win for us on the road, and a lot of contributions down the lineup,” said first year Knicks Head Coach Mike Brown after the game. Brown was encouraged by the play of Towns. “He was really good, again we tried to move him around quite a bit, we tried to have him at the elbow, tried to have him in the post, tried to put him in the pick and roll game, and you can see his comfort level is starting to get there.”
The Knicks will next played the Hornets in Charlotte on Wednesday.
