Reyna Dunlap, a 33-year-old Maryland social media influencer, was found dead in a vacant house in Cleveland, Ohio, earlier this month under circumstances her family says remain unresolved. Known online as “The Nude Queen,” Dunlap had traveled to Cleveland to audition for Baddies Midwest, a reality TV show on the Zeus Network. Her death has prompted questions from her family, who reject initial police suggestions of a drug overdose.

Cleveland police stated the suspected cause of death was based on evidence at the scene, which included drug paraphernalia scattered in the abandoned home in the Kinsman neighborhood. However, Dunlap’s family, including her mother, has strongly disputed the overdose claim, saying it lacks evidence. In a TikTok video shared on her sister’s account, Dunlap’s mother insisted there was no history of drug use and noted that the medical examiner confirmed there were no visible signs of substance abuse on her body.

The family also criticized what they described as premature assumptions by authorities. “Why would there be an initial assessment of overdose?” Dunlap’s mother asked in the TikTok post. She alleged that the determination was based solely on the location of the body, pointing out that the home was abandoned and in disrepair, but there was no drug paraphernalia directly linked to her daughter. Cleveland police acknowledged that such preliminary assessments are standard in similar cases, pending further investigation.

The case has sparked public interest, with Dunlap’s family now pursuing an independent autopsy to uncover the truth behind her death. They have launched a GoFundMe campaign to fund both the autopsy and a private investigator while urging anyone with information about Dunlap’s movements between December 2024 and January 2025 to come forward. “We just want answers,” the family said, emphasizing that they are determined to seek justice for her.

Dunlap’s death has drawn attention not only to the circumstances surrounding her passing but also to the challenges families face when confronting systemic assumptions in such cases. Her story has resonated on social media, with supporters amplifying calls for a thorough investigation and transparency from law enforcement. Meanwhile, the Cleveland police said the department’s next steps will depend on findings from the city’s medical examiner.
