Seattle – Daniel Jones played well, throwing for 257 yards and two touchdowns, and the Giants’ blocked a game-tying field goal attempt, returning it for a touchdown to secure a 29-20 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on the road on Sunday, October 6.
The Seahawks, trailing by three with 1:40 left in regulation, got the ball back after a Giants’ three and out, and marched 38 yards to set up kicker Jason Meyers with a game-tying 45 yard field attempt. Giants LB Iaisah Simmons perfectly jumped the A gap, blocking the kick and was scooped up by WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton who returned it for a 60 yard touchdown.
Ford-Wheaton on the game-sealing play “It feels good, but it’s never really about me. Everybody on the field does their job and they put me in a position to succeed. Shout out to coach Michael Ghobrial, Isaiah Simmons and all my teammates over on special teams. We’re all playing the roles to the best of our ability to get the win.”
With the win, the Giants sit at 2-3 and 2-1 on the road. New York faces the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday night in a primetime matchup at MetLife Stadium.
