Recently resurfaced bodycam footage from June 2022 shows a chaotic encounter between a distressed woman and three deputies in Indian River County, Florida, following a 911 call she made to report an alleged kidnapping. The video, which has since drawn widespread attention online, captures the woman’s erratic behavior as she interacts with two male deputies and one female deputy, Tea De Leon, who were dispatched to her home. From the outset, the woman appears agitated, making disjointed claims and becoming increasingly combative as the deputies try to assess the situation.
The footage shows the woman expressing frustration, insisting that she had spoken with Deputy De Leon earlier that week—an assertion De Leon denies. As the deputies attempt to question her about the kidnapping allegation, her responses become incoherent, oscillating between accusations against her ex-husband and complaints about her personal life. The woman’s emotional state escalates when asked whether she had consumed alcohol or taken medications, at which point she begins ranting about a custody dispute involving her son. “I can’t deal with this! You’re not invited!” she yells at one point, before trailing off.
Tensions rise further when the woman suddenly flashes her chest at Deputy De Leon, claiming she had just undergone surgery, and accuses the deputies of inappropriate contact. The situation deteriorates as she refuses to comply with orders and becomes physically confrontational, forcing the deputies to restrain her. Once in handcuffs, the woman continues speaking incoherently, alternating between cries for help and nonsensical statements. Her behavior becomes more erratic as she dramatically collapses to the ground and, while being helped into the squad car, kicks De Leon in the face.
Despite the deputies’ efforts to deescalate the encounter, the woman kicks De Leon again, this time prompting a swift response. She is finally secured in the back of the patrol car, while De Leon, visibly shaken but uninjured, reassures her colleagues that she is not bleeding. The woman was ultimately charged with felony battery on an officer. As the footage concludes, she vehemently denies kicking the deputy, despite video evidence to the contrary.
