Sixteen and a half months after the New York Jets traded for four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, he finally won a game for them. After missing all of last season with a busted Achilles tendon and losing the 2024 season opener last weekend, the Jets went on the road and got a gritty 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday afternoon .

Rodgers completed 18 of 30 passes for 176 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. All three Jets touchdowns were scored by their running backs. Third year running back Breece Hall and rookie running back Braelon Allen each had receiving touchdowns and Allen closed the scoring with a 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter with 4:31 remaining which gave the Jets a seven point lead. Jets are still without Pro Bowl Linebacker Hassan Reddick who has been holding out for a contract extension since the Jets acquired him via trade from Philadelphia in the offseason. Jets Defensive Lineman Will McDonald was impactful, however, with three sacks.

The Jets will be back in action on Thursday night as they take on AFC East division rival New England Patriots in their home opener after beginning the season with two road games.
