After starting the season losing seven of their first eight games, the
New York Knicks have begun to play better basketball, winning three of
their next six games, including a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers
Monday at Madison Square Garden and two victories over former Knick
Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks.
Forward Julius Randle had his best offense game of the season, scoring
30 points (12-17 from the field, including 3-5 from three point-range)
in leading the Knicks to victory in a game that they led by as much as
27 points. Knicks head coach David Fizdale discussed the improvement
of Randle. “It’s a process with him and he’s just such a willing participant in
his improvement and today I think that you see what he can look like
when he’s really locked in and playing the game as it comes to him,”
Fizdale said.

Randle also talked about his spectacular performance after the game.
“I just have to find ways to make (the game) easier,” Randle said.
“This is the first time that defenses are loading up on me like this.
One of the things that I wanted to do is really run the floor extremely
hard.”
The Knicks tried to continue their solid play when they travelled to
Philadelphia last night before hosting San Antonio Saturday and Brooklyn
Sunday.
