Jordan Chiles is going for the gold again. And sis decided to tell the world in a major way.
She gave us visuals. She gave us celebrity cameos and culture. And, she even gave us the GOAT himself, Michael Jordan.
Jordan dropped a video on Instagram announcing that she is making a run for the next Olympics. The decorated gymnast is ready to take the mat, the beam, and the floor again. The Games will take place in Los Angeles from July 14 through July 30, 2028.
Jordan Chiles Called On Another Jordan
The visuals featured Jordan, model Winnie Harlow, and singer Normani living their best lives on a California beach. Jordan stepped out of a red convertible and headed toward the sand. She later joined Winnie and Normani around a fire for s’mores. Dark lighting, aerial beach shots, and Eve’s “Who’s That Girl?” added to the mood.
Jordan closed the video by flashing custom diamond grills that spelled “LA 2028.”
Over top of every scene, Michael Jordan narrated the story.
A Jordan representing for another Jordan is epic. And it gets even better. Jordan’s mother named her after the basketball legend. Michael’s narration addressed the question people have asked Jordan since Paris. Why go for the Olympics again?
“Why her? Because she’s that girl,” Michael said. Jordan gave the answer herself: “Why not?”
Jordan Chiles Has Already Made Olympic History
Jordan made her Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games. She stepped in on bars and beam after Simone Biles withdrew from the team final.
Jordan answered the call and helped Team USA win silver.
She returned three years later and helped the U.S. women win team gold at the Paris Olympics. She also earned bronze in the individual floor exercise after her coach challenged her difficulty score. That medal gave us the first all-Black Olympic gymnastics podium. Jordan joined gold medalist Rebeca Andrade and silver medalist Simone on the podium.
But the celebration changed days later.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled that Jordan’s scoring inquiry arrived four seconds after the one-minute deadline. Olympic officials changed the final standings and awarded the bronze to Romanian gymnast Ana Bărbosu.
The International Olympic Committee also requested that Jordan return her medal. Jordan revealed in April 2025 that she had not sent the physical medal back. Her fight continued.
