A young TikTok star is now detained by the authorities after the FBI used his TikTok videos to track him down. There had been a series of robberies in Detroit at the beginning of February, so much so that the FBI had to step in to look into the matter.

Using surveillance footage and TikTok videos, the FBI managed to link Chozen Terrell-Hannah, a famous TikToker, to the robberies. In a CCTV video, the 22-year-old wore Nike sneakers with a red trim. Seems like those were his favorite shoes, as he wore them in a dance video he posted on TikTok. His fans were, of course, elated, although this time around, the feds were also excited. They tracked down and arrested Terrell-Hannah.

“A search of the residence led to the seizure of items believed to be used in the armed robberies including a black Glock handgun, a black backpack with a floral pattern, a skeleton full bodysuit, and white Nike tennis shoes,” FBI Task Force agents said before adding, “(He) admitted to committing all four of the above-described armed robberies and acknowledged using the black backpack with a floral pattern in all four of the armed robberies.”

Terrell-Hannah boasts of a massive TikTok following of hundreds of thousands. While eye-witnesses claimed the robber was a white man, Terrell-Hannah is African-American. The robberies targeted retail shops and footwear stores. Had it not been for the short videos the young man posts on his TikTok page, it could’ve been a tall order for the feds to link him to the robberies. His TikTok account, “ChozenWrld,” has more than 148,000 followers and his videos garner millions of likes.

Terrell-Hannah is being held without bond. He’s charged with “possession of a firearm during a violent crime and robbery affecting interstate commerce.” If convicted, the 22-year-old could serve up to 20 years in jail.
