Saquon Struggles With Another Injury

A once promising season for the New York Giants is now on the verge of a historic collapse, after a 48-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday at the Meadowlands.  The 48 points was the most the Giants have surrendered to Philadelphia since 1959.  Dynamic Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for two scores and ran for another.  Eagles running back Miles Sanders slashed New York for 144 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

After a 7-2 start the Giants are now in serious jeopardy of not making the playoffs, which would be a first for the franchise when getting off to a start that good. Saquan Barkley, the heart of the Giants offense, has rushed for just 22, 39, 63, and 28 yards over the last four games, which has coincided with the Giants current four game winless streak that has dropped their record to 7-5-1.  Daniel Jones had another pedestrian game throwing for 169 yards and a touchdown, he ran for another touchdown.  Giants play Washington next Sunday in D.C. They played to a tie in week 13 and have identical records.  The teams hold the final two playoff spots in the NFC with four weeks remaining and Seattle and Detroit on their heels.
