Some incidents pull at the heartstrings of even the hardest people. Just look at this example involving 14-year-old Black boy and “true scholar” Daniel Anjorin.

On April 30, Anjorin was simply walking to school in North East London when he was allegedly attacked by someone he never met before in his life.

According to BBC, Aurelio Arduini Monzo, a dual Spanish-Brazilian national, crashed his car that morning and hit an innocent bystander. After he left the scene, Monzo allegedly approached Anjorin from behind with a samurai sword and attacked the young teenager, slashing his neck and stabbing him in the chest as he was on the ground.

Apparently, Monzo did not stop there.

When local authorities came to help Anjorin as he lay on the ground, Monzo came out of a bush and attacked an officer.

More from BBC:

The defendant then allegedly made his way across a number of gardens before entering the home of a couple who were asleep with their four-year-old child.

Mr Monzo allegedly attacked the father, Henry De Los Rios Polania, in the bedroom, causing injuries to his neck and arm.

A second officer, Insp Moloy Elec Campbell, tried to stop the defendant and was also stabbed with the sword, it is alleged.

The defendant was eventually Tasered and arrested.

All of the attacks took place within 20 minutes. Anjorin died in the hospital shortly after he was attacked.

Monzo was charged with murder, attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, aggravated burglary, and possession of a bladed article.

In a statement to BBC, Anjorin’s parents said, “We as a family are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Daniel. It is difficult for us at this time to process what has happened to him and that he will never come home. Daniel had left the house for school and then he was gone.”
