In a lengthy Instagram post shared Saturday, the 47-year-old artist reflected on the pressures people face to meet unrealistic standards of beauty while urging others to think twice before commenting on a person’s appearance.
“I’ve learned that it takes only a moment to form an opinion about someone’s appearance, and a lifetime to understand what they’ve lived through,” Brandy wrote.
