Nike revealed on Monday that Colin Kaepernick will be part of it’s 30th anniversary “Just Do It” campaign. A teaser for an ad read, “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.” Kaepernick generated a lot of controversy for kneeling during the anthem during games in protest of racial injustice and police brutality.

Some people were angry about this, and posted videos of their Nike shoes burning in their yards, or the Nike swoosh sliced off of socks. People are pushing for a boycott of Nike, something that seems unlikely considering how big Nike is. People tweeted about switching their allegiance to Adidas or Converse, which is indicative of the outcome since Nike owns Converse.
