A Memphis woman’s alleged revenge plot against her ex-boyfriend took a fiery turn when she tried to set her ex-boyfriend’s bed on fire—while he was still in it with his new boo and child.

The whole situation like something out of a Tyler Perry movie, but things in this situation got a little more serious than throwing a pot of hot grits.

One evening back in March, authorities said 19-year-old Derica Wiggins was caught on the Ring camera entering her ex-boyfriend’s home. Inside, he laid in the bed with his new girlfriend and child. Her man’s new girl told investigators she heard the sound of a lighter flicking just outside the bedroom door and saw someone peep through the crack. She assumed it was the man’s brother, but moments later she told investigators she woke up to the bed sheets going up in flames, police say.

Ol’ boy was able to extinguish the flames and went outside to confront his ex-girlfriend in the driveway, per WREG’s report. The police said by the time they responded, the damages sustained to the home were mainly to the bed comforter and smoke damage to house’s furniture.
