Hart Bringing More Heart To The Knicks

Before the game started, the Boston Celtics announced that All-Star Jaylen Brown would miss the game for personal reasons. But Boston still had Jayson Tatum and a supporting cast that combined to lead the team to the 2022 NBA Finals. The Knicks didn’t let down, and in fact, played inspired basketball to defeat Boston 109-94. The Knicks had a well-balanced attack with All-Star Julius Randle leading the way with 23 points and 7 rebounds, while Immanuel Quickley added 23 off the bench. Jalen Brunson added 17, while Mitchell Robinson scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Here’s what New York Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said after the win, which saw the lead by his guys grow to as many as 20.  “I thought it was a good solid team win. Obviously, their record tells you how good they are and they can make up ground very quickly because of the way they shoot the three. Their shot profile is terrific. So, no lead feels safe with them.

Added Jalen Brunson on the state of the team after six-straight wins, “we’re in a good place but have a lot of work to do,” he said. “I think that’s the beauty of it all, we can still learn from wins. Obviously, we want to keep winning but we need to keep learning to get even better.”
The New York Knicks have not lost since adding Josh Hart and have won 8 of their last 9 games. They hosted the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday night and the Miami Heat Friday night.
