Police arrested a Black unsheltered man after he allegedly went on a spree of attacks in Manhattan, tossing scalding hot liquid on four people.

New York police say 42-year-old Larry Martin decided to launch his attack the morning of March 6 as everyone made their typical busy commutes to work. Martin is alleged to have pounced on a man on East 44th and Lexington, throwing a burning hot liquid on his head. Court documents said the man suffered severe burns to his neck. About 30 minutes later, Martin spotted his next victim on Sixth Ave and West 56th Street, police say. There, Martin allegedly attacked a woman, throwing more of the hot liquid at her face resulting in burns and hearing loss.

No, he wasn’t done there.

Police say he confronted another woman as she stepped out of the Times Square subway station on the Seventh Ave and West 42nd corner where he threw more scalding liquid the cup he carried. Then, he emptied the cup on a third woman’s chest and hands on West 35th Street and Eighth Ave, police said.
