In a tumultuous day for the Brooklyn Nets franchise, Steve Nash was
dismissed as head coach of the franchise, General manager Sean Marks
spoke to the media, Kyrie Irving didn’t speak to the media for a
second-straight night, and the team lost to the Chicago Bulls 108-99
at Barclays Center.

While the game seemed almost like an afterthought, Kevin Durant played
great, scoring 32 points and grabbing nine rebounds, while Royce
O’Neale scored 20. Nic Claxton had a double-double with 10 points and
10 rebounds. Amid controversy over a social media post deemed by some
to be anti Semitic, Kyrie Irving struggled, scoring only four points.

Durant reacted to the departure of Nash after the game. “Regardless of who is the coach,
regardless of the circumstances, you still got to come to work, and I enjoyed coming to
work with Steve,” Durant said.

Jacque Vaughn, Brooklyn’s interim head coach for a second time, said
he didn’t know how long he would have the position, with rumors
swirling. Marks said a decision on the next head coach hadn’t been
made during pregame media availability.

Brooklyn heads to the nation’s capital to take on the Washington Wizards Friday.
