Black students at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, have come out in protest against racist acts that have been reported in the campus. The students have launched movements called #ThisIsDrake and #MyTimeAtDrake in a bid to try to find a solution for racist acts.

Just last week, many black students were engulfed in fear after a note was slid under the door of a black student, with a warning that read: “Dear Porch Monkey, we no longer want a darkie on our campus which means you need to leave or else.”

On Monday, a report by Des Moines Register said some Black students at the University reported receiving robocalls from the dreaded “The Road to Power” white racist group. This is one of the many racist threats that have been reported at the school, including the unfortunate killing of former University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbets.
