The Yankees have gone 6-9 over their last 15 games in their first losing skid of the season. After losing to the Braves last Sunday, the Bronx Bombers have now dropped 3 series in a row, having previously not lost back-to-back series the entire season.

In the series opener against Atlanta, New York was pounded 8-1, posting just 3 hits in the entire game. Carlos Rodon struggled on the mound and could be seen crying in the dugout before heading to the clubhouse.

In game 2, the Yankees bounced back to win 8-3. Their pitching allowed under 7 runs for just the second time in 7 games, with the bullpen allowing just 1 hit to close out the game. Aaron Judge and Trent Grisham both homered and Giancarlo Stanton extended his hit streak to 10 games, but had to leave the game due to an hamstring injury. The slugger is expected to miss 4 weeks.

For the final game of the series, New York was held to one run once again, losing 3-1. Anthony Volpe, who struggled in the first of half of June, extended his hit streak to 7, despite the loss. The Yanks now cling to a 2 game division lead and look ahead to their Subway Series against the Mets.
