The Yankees opened their series against the Blue Jays with a 4-2 loss. A 3-run 9th inning gave the Jays the lead as New York stranded 11 runners on base, going 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.

In the first game of the doubleheader, the Yanks bounced back with an 11-2 blowout. Austin Wells delivered a bases-clearing double during a six-run third inning against Kevin Gausman, and the offense kept coming.

The nightcap was tighter, but Aaron Judge broke a nine-game homerless streak with a go-ahead shot in the sixth, leading New York to a 5-1 win. It was his 24th straight game reaching base, and he raised his league-best average to .406.

The Bombers dropped the opener against the Orioles 4-3. Anthony Volpe and Austin Wells each delivered RBI doubles in the eighth inning, but the comeback fell short in the late innings.

They responded with a 15-3 demolition in the finale. Trent Grisham, Judge, and Ben Rice opened the game with three straight home runs, followed by a fourth from Cody Bellinger—tying a franchise record. It marked the second time this season the Yankees have begun a game with three consecutive homers, making them the first team in MLB history to do it twice in a season. Grisham has now homered in 4 of the past 6 games.

Carlos Rodón was sharp, tossing five perfect innings before finishing with two runs allowed over six-plus and seven strikeouts, lowering his ERA to 3.43.
