The Yankees continued their hot streak this past weekend, sweeping the Giants to claim the best record in baseball.

In game 1, Aaron Judge blasted 2 homers to propel New York to a 6-2 victory. This was Judge’s 1st multi-homer game of the season, and the 35th of his career.

In game 2, New York claimed an early lead off the back of another Aaron Judge home run, and a Juan Soto sac fly. San Francisco rallied back, but an Alex Verdugo triple and Giancarlo Stanton homer in the 8th led them to a 7-3 win.

To claim their 4th sweep of the year, the Yanks clawed back in a nail biter against one of the games top closers, Camilo Doval, to win 7-5. Down 3 in the 9th, Juan Soto went yard for the 2nd time of the game to lead a 4-run inning.

Luis Gil and Judge won AL Player of the Month honors, the third time the Yanks have swept the award. Gil went undefeated in May, giving up just 3 runs the whole month, while Judge posted a .918 SLG with 26 extra base hits.

New York has now won 22 of their last 27 games, and look ahead to their 6-game homestead which began Tuesday night against the Minnesota Twins. The Los Angeles Dodges then come the Stadium for a 3-game set.
