Our nation’s surgeon general just so happened to be among the passengers of a recent Delta flight when a person suddenly lost consciousness and the call went out, “Is there a doctor on board?”
Vice Admiral Jerome Adams, an anesthesiologist, says he provided medical attention to a passenger on Wednesday while his plane was preparing to take off from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Jackson, Mississippi.
Adams, who was traveling to Mississippi for public events, tweeted about the situation.
On my @Delta flight to Jackson, Mississippi (by way of Atlanta), and they asked if there was a Doctor on board to help with a medical emergency- why yes- yes there was. Patient doing well and like a good #USPHS officer, I was glad to be able to assist! pic.twitter.com/N9HdY3py6G
