On Saturday, President Donald Trump waved at protestors as his motorcade slowly drove through the crowds. On his way to his golf course in Sterling, VA, Trump wore a red cap as he sat inside the presidential limousine.
The president pushed ahead with his lawsuits to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s victory as tens of thousands of his supporters marched through downtown Washington to support his unsubstantiated claims of election fraud.
According to Reuters, Trump’s lawsuits have not gotten very far in the courts. Biden has received congratulatory calls from world leaders and has begun the work of forming his cabinet.

On Friday Trump told reporters, “time will tell” who occupies the White House on Inauguration Day, January 20, and for the first time, he sounded doubtful about his prospects.
Trump supporters were out in full force on Saturday. Carrying flags, they chanted “Stop the Steal!” and “We are the Champions!” as they marched from Freedom Plaza, near the White House to the U.S. Supreme Court building on Capitol Hill.
Among the marchers were scores of members of the Proud Boys group. Clad in black, some wore helmets and ballistic vests. Small counter-demonstrations were staged by some left-wing groups, and Reuters witnessed only one scuffle.
