*The Tribeca annual TV Festival will take place Sept. 12—15 in New York. The programming includes the world premieres of:

Hip Hop: The Songs That Shook America” (AMC), the second episode featuring Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright,” followed by a conversation with directors and co-executive producers One9 and Erik Parker; EPs Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, and TarikBlack ThoughtTrotter, and co-executive producer Angie Day.

Godfather of Harlem” (EPIX) followed by a conversation with star and executive producer Forest Whitaker, Ilfenesh Hadera, and EPs Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein.

First Wives Club” (BET+), a modern television remake of the classic 1996 revenge comedy “The First Wives Club,” followed by a conversation with Michelle Buteau and EP/Creator Tracy Oliver.

Questlove in “Hip Hop: The Songs That Shook America”

Evil,” (CBS) is the highly anticipated new series from Robert and Michelle King. After the screening there will be a conversation with the producers, cast members Mike Colter, Katja Herbers, Aasif Mandvi, and Michael Emerson.

Leavenworth” (STARZ) is another new series screening featured, followed by a conversation with executive producers Steven Soderbergh Paul Pawlowski, Platoon Soldier Mike McGuiness, New York Times National Correspondent David Philipps, and Lorance’s lawyer John Maher. In  addition, homage is paid to shows old shows like “Friends” and “Transparent.”
