The New York Jets saw their playoff chances take a hit on Sunday evening with a loss to a Las Vegas Raiders team who just a couple weeks ago were in turmoil and fired their Head Coach and General Manager. The Jets squandered a 9-3 first half lead to lose 16-12 in Sin City. They only scored three points in the second half. Jets third year quarterback Zach Wilson, who has been maligned all season completed 23 of 39 passes for 263 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. The 12 points came on four field goals. For the season Wilson has thrown nine touchdowns and eleven interceptions. For his Jets career he has 20 touchdowns and 24 interceptions. The Jets now find themselves behind the Raiders in the AFC playoff standings. The Jets are currently 13th while the Raiders are in the 11th spot.

The win was the second straight for the Raiders in as many games since naming former Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce as the interim Head Coach. The Raiders blew out the Giants last week in Las Vegas. The Jets now have a record of 4-5 and they next play in Buffalo against the 5-5 Bills who lost Monday night against 24-22 against the Denver Broncos. Denver got a second life after their field goal kicker Wil Lutz missed a field goal after the Bills were flagged for pass interference. Buffalo was then penalized for having 12 men on the field given Lutz another chance. He nailed the game winning field goal stunning the home crowd.
