The New York Knicks got a big bounce back win this past Sunday afternoon 140-106 over the Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden after being blown out by the Oklahoma City Thunder at home on the previous Friday night. Jalen Brunson scored 44 points in 28 minutes of play and Karl Anthony Towns finished with 30 points and 18 rebounds. “I thought it was a good response in all areas,” Knicks head Coach Tom Thibodeau said after the Knicks got back on their winning ways. “I thought we were strong on both sides of the ball, played with great pace both in transition and in the halfcourt, and I thought the rebounding, sharing the ball, and taking care of the ball was really good.”
The Knicks now have a record of 26-14 which is good enough for third place in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee entered the game in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, but the loss now pushes them down to the number six spot. Milwaukee’s best player and former two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds while Milwaukee’s other star Damian Lillard added 22 points.
