The Knicks beat Sacramento at home last Saturday 143-120 improving their record to 30-16. All five Knicks starters scored in double figures led by OG Anunoby who had a game-high 33 points. Every Knicks starter scored at least 20 points on the night except for center Karl Anthony Towns who finished with a game high 16 rebounds. Towns was locked up in a premier battle at the center position with Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis who Towns trails in second place for the NBA rebounding lead. Sabonis leads the NBA in double-doubles as well and he also recorded a triple-double in the game with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists.
There was another triple-double in the game as Josh Hart had 20 points, 18 rebounds, and 11 assists for the Knicks. “I just try and go get the basketball, sometimes unfortunately I steal rebounds from my guy,” Hart said after the game with a smile. “I don’t try to, whenever I see the ball hit the rim, I just see ball and nothing else.” Before becoming a Knick Hart never recorded a triple-double. Now Hart has sixth on the season and is two behind Walt Clyde Frazier’s all-time single-season franchise high.
