Friends have spoken out after a 27-year-old Texas man was tragically stabbed in a luxurious Miami condo during a “domestic quarrel,” local police say.
According to a regional report from WTVJ, the stabbing occurred Sunday evening at the One Paraiso Residences condominium, with local police originally responding to a complaint of a man being stabbed. Friends later identified the man as Christian Toby Obumseli, and authorities have said there were signs of a scuffle before to the stabbing.

A separate report from the Dallas Morning News stated that Obumseli and his girlfriend had “recently moved” to Florida. He was transferred to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, after police arrived on the scene. Josh Ramsey, a friend of both men, claimed he and his other buddies were “shocked” by the tragic stabbing. He described the incident as “straight out of a crime documentary.”
WPLG interviewed three people described as friends of the couple, and the girlfriend was identified as Courtney Clenney, 25, a “OnlyFans model and Instagram influencer”. Local officials did not make an immediate announcement or provide any further confirmation.
“From what we’ve personally experienced between the both of them we believe that, like, Christian wouldn’t put her in a position where she would need to stab him to protect herself,” said one acquaintance, Ashley Vaughn. Vaughn also said she and the other two friends had “seen her hit him” but had “never seen him hit her.”
