The Boston Celtics took care of the Knicks 119-117 in overtime on Tuesday night. The win gives the Celtics a 4-0 sweep versus the Knicks this season. Former Knicks first-round draft pick from 2015, Kristaps Porzingis, had a game-high 34 points for the Celtics, including 8-13 from three-point range. Including one bomb in overtime which was almost from the Knicks logo at half court. “They were doing a late switch and I just created a little bit of separation from Brunson and it was a pretty deep one and I just let it fly without a conscience,” Porzingis said after the game. “Obviously playing here is always very fun. Here the fans are super into the game and they love the Knicks. I enjoyed playing here as a home player and now also as a visiting player. It’s been fun, especially now finishing the regular season strong and getting ready for what is coming.”
Jason Tatum scored 32 points for the Celtics including the game-tying three-point shot in the final seconds of regulation which put the game into overtime. Boston point guard Jrue Holiday finished with 16 points while his backcourt mate Derrick White had 14 points. Boston is now 59-20 and will be the number two seed in the Eastern Conference.
