Nationwide — A Black-owned moving and logistics service company called College Dudes Help U Move Inc. is adding 50 jobs to the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Many of the available positions will go to support underserved communities.
The company is already hiring account managers, foremen, and professional movers for its corporate office in uptown Charlotte. Job candidates receive eight weeks of paid on-the-job training, and have plenty of room for advancement and upward mobility as the company is one of the fastest-growing moving companies in the state of North Carolina.
The pay for experienced professional movers will start at $15 an hour, with the opportunity for tips and a bonus. The pay for experienced foremen will start at around $16-$18 an hour with opportunities for tips and bonuses. The pay for account managers will start around $36,000 to $65,000/year.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to one of the highest unemployment rates in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas in over a decade.
